Tentulikhunti,Feb 2: The District Collector of Nabarangpur reviewed the ongoing Mega Irrigation Project being constructed at Kenduguda under the Indravati Project reservoir and advised officials to expedite the work at the earliest.
At a meeting held in the premises of the local guest house, the Collector, Dr. Maheshwar Swain, called the project officials and technical experts to assess the current status of the work. He also held discussions with the officials of the contracting agencies, GVPR and Kalpataru, and directed them to complete the pending work without delay.
After learning that the high water level in the reservoir was preventing interior construction work, he stated that the Tentulikhunti block administration would write to the Odisha Hydro Power Corporation to reduce the water level to facilitate the work.
During the Collector’s visit, Block Development Officer Manoj Kumar Panigrahi, executive engineers of both contracting agencies, and other officials were present.
