As of February 12, 2026, 94,485 positions remain unfilled.
The highest number of vacancies — 20,289 posts — is in the School and Mass Education Department.
The Home Department has 16,032 vacancies, while the Health and Family Welfare Department has 10,457 vacant posts.
Between June 12, 2024, and February 12, 2026, a total of 39,505 appointments have been completed.
