Banpur, Feb, 25: Based on the National Education Policy, 55 new textbooks have been introduced into Odisha’s school curriculum for Classes I to VIII. These books will be implemented from the upcoming academic year.
In this context, a teachers’ training camp titled “Prabodhan” was conducted from the 17th to 21st of this month at Manasingh Government Upper Primary School, Anurikia, near Banpur in Khordha district. The training was organized in accordance with the Odisha Curriculum Framework 2025.
The “Prabodhan” training program, conducted under the guidance of the Directorate of Teacher Education and the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), aimed to train teachers on how to effectively teach the new textbooks using a competency-based approach. The primary objective was to enhance students’ learning abilities and achieve the goals of a competency-based curriculum.
During the program, Banpur Block Education Officer Sanatan Jali was present and elaborated in detail on how the new textbooks have been designed and will be implemented in line with the new education policy.
