Observance of World Social Justice Day Highlights Equality and Rights

Nabarangpur, March, 12:   On the occasion of World Social Justice Day, a program related to the Abadan and Abhaya schemes was organized at the Sai Kalyan Mandap in Nabarangpur. In the morning, Master Shantanu Patra provided guidance and education to senior citizens.

During the main program, the following dignitaries were present:

District Social Security Officer, Sudhanshu Patra
District Chief Medical Officer (I/C), Malay Tripathy
Senior Citizens’ Forum President, Dr. Radhanath Behera
Christian Senior Citizens’ Forum members, S. Patra and Narsingh Tripathy
Subas Sur
Marathon athlete, Chitta Ranjan Njan Patra
Social worker, Manorama Mancha

Dr. Tripathy, as the chief speaker, highlighted in his address that senior citizens are the guiding force of society and emphasized the importance of protecting their health.

Social worker Manorama Majhi spoke about the equal roles of men and women in running society and encouraged families not to feel isolated, stressing the importance of maintaining relationships with neighbors and the community.

District legal officer Kishori Pattnaik said that in today’s society, the youth and families can contribute effectively to health and social security. Prashant Pattnaik from the District Legal Services spoke on legal matters concerning senior citizens.

While managing the program, Ashakiran Chairman Jagannath Behera thanked Social Security Officer Dhananjay Rao. Other attendees included Ram Murti Pattnaik, Nagendra Pattnaik, Gopal Mishra, Satyabadi Shadanghi, Narayan Panda, J. Prakash Samantaray, Habib Mohammad, Gupteshwar Panda, and Manisha Rath.
