Kotpad, March 19 –: The annual sports award distribution ceremony at the P.M. Shri Government High School, Kotpad campus was held with great pomp and celebration. The event was attended by over 400 students, creating a festive and lively atmosphere.
The program began with a colorful welcome dance performed by the students, greeting the guests. The chief guest for the event was P.M.S.S.S Vice President Pradeep Rath, while other honored guests included Kotpad Cluster Education Officer Swapteshwar Nayak, P.M.S.S.S member Kishore Chandra Mishra, and alumni representative Sitanath Bishwal, who all took their seats on the main stage.
In their addresses, the guests emphasized the importance of sports, highlighting that physical and mental development of students is greatly supported through games and athletic activities.
Following the speeches, prizes were awarded to meritorious students who excelled in various competitions. Awards were distributed for different track and field events, including sprint races, long jump, high jump, and ball throwing, among a total of 34 competitions. The guests encouraged the students and celebrated their achievements.
The ceremony also featured a traditional Sambalpuri dance performance, which captivated the audience. At the conclusion, the school principal thanked all the guests and collaborators. The entire event was successfully conducted with the active support of the school’s teachers, instructors, and staff.
