Bhubaneswar, Mar 20: The CII Odisha Mining & Construction Equipment Expo (OMCE) 2026 was inaugurated in Bhubaneswar, marking the first edition of this premier industry event. The inauguration was graced by Shri Hemant Sharma, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, Government of Odisha, Department of Home, Industries & IPR, along with key dignitaries including B. Thiagarajan, Chairman of the CII Trade Fair Council, and Shri Anil Kumar Singh, President of CII Odisha State Council.

Organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), the three-day expo serves as a strategic platform for showcasing innovation, fostering partnerships, and promoting sustainable growth in the mining and construction equipment sectors in Eastern India.
During the inauguration, Shri Hemant Sharma highlighted the Odisha government’s commitment to building an inclusive ecosystem for industrial development and investment. He appreciated CII’s efforts in creating a centralized B2B platform that brings together manufacturers, policymakers, and consumers under one roof.
Following the inauguration, the dignitaries visited the exhibition, interacted with exhibitors, and observed live demonstrations of state-of-the-art machinery, technology, and innovative solutions presented by leading international and Indian companies.
The event also featured a CEO Roundtable chaired by the Additional Chief Secretary, Odisha, providing industry leaders a high-level forum to discuss strategic initiatives, policy support, regional ecosystem development, skill enhancement, and sustainable mining and construction practices.
OMCE 2026 has attracted over 150 exhibitors and more than 10,000 business visitors, showcasing an extensive range of equipment, technology, and solutions from leading companies in the mining, construction, and allied sectors. The expo is further enriched by the Odisha Metal Expo 2026, bringing together stakeholders from the metal and allied industries to strengthen this regional platform.
The three-day event will continue with B2B and B2G meetings, technical sessions, and networking opportunities, aimed at promoting collaboration, innovation, and investment in the sector. OMCE 2026 is poised to become a key regional platform that reinforces Odisha’s position as a hub for industrial growth and enables the next phase of development in mining and construction through technology-driven and sustainable practices.
