New Regulation Requires Expiry Date on Egg Packaging to Protect Public Health and Improve Quality Standards

Uttar Pradesh, Mar, 21:  Now shopkeepers will no longer be able to sell old eggs claiming they are “fresh.”
Expiry dates must now be printed on eggs.
Action will be taken against shopkeepers selling old eggs.
The UP government has taken a major decision to protect public health.
The new rule will come into effect in Uttar Pradesh from April 1.
It will be mandatory to mention both the production date and the expiry date on every egg.
