Kotpad, April 13: A book titled “Kotpad in the Mirror of History”, which highlights the history, culture, and notable personalities of Kotpad, was officially released at an event held at Gandhi Chhak.
The book has been brought out through the initiative of film actor Prakash Mahanti. Guests present at the event expressed that the book would further enhance the recognition of the historic town of Kotpad.
The कार्यक्रम was conducted under the guidance of artist Chandra Sekhar Das. Kotpad MLA Rupu Bhatra attended as the chief guest, while distinguished guests included Dr. Bijay Mishra, Dr. Rajat Sadangi, researcher Sriranga Nayak, Bar Association President Mani Prasad Pattnaik, Press Club President Pankaj Kumar Patra, retired doctor Braja Kishore Garabrahma, and Ganesh Panda.
In their speeches, the guests noted that the book contains valuable writings on the rule of the Udra kings and the legendary Damayanti Sagar, making it highly useful for future generations.
Publisher Prakash Mahanti informed that the second volume of the book will be released soon. Appreciation was also extended to Santosh Pattnaik, owner of Everest Printers, for publishing the book within a short time.
