Chariot Construction for Rath Yatra to Begin on Akshaya Tritiya with Enhanced Security Measures

Bhubaneswar, April 15:  The Rath Khala (chariot construction yard) will be brought under CCTV surveillance. The construction of the chariots of the Lord will commence on the auspicious occasion of Akshaya Tritiya.
Preparations for the world-famous Rath Yatra have begun, with the chariot construction work set to start soon. The Bhoi servitors are preparing the Rath Khala.
The Chandan Yatra of the Lord will also begin from Akshaya Tritiya, informed Puri District Collector Divyajyoti Parida.
A total of 12 cameras will be installed in the Rath Khala, including two PTZ (Pan-Tilt-Zoom) cameras.
A control room for monitoring will be set up at the Shree Jagannath Temple office.
