Bhubaneswar, April 22: In a major decision, the state government has taken steps to strengthen security for doctors across Odisha.
As per the decision, Security Officers will be appointed in all 14 medical colleges in the state. Officers of ranks such as Additional SP, DSP, or Deputy Commandant will be given these responsibilities.
Similarly, in district headquarters hospitals, officers of Inspector rank will be deployed to ensure safety and maintain law and order.
Additionally, each medical college will have a dedicated police outpost to provide immediate security support.
This move is aimed at improving the safety of healthcare professionals and ensuring a secure working environment in medical institutions.
