Workplace is God, Office is My Temple,” Says Ganga Sodi Emphasizing Dedication and Discipline at Work

Malkangiri, April 23: Gangadhar Sodi has formally taken oath as the new Chairman of the Special Development Council (SDC) of Malkangiri district, while Sabitri Padiami assumed charge as the Vice-Chairperson.
After assuming office, Mr. Sodi stated, “The workplace is God, and the office is like a temple for me.” Before taking his seat, he paid respect to the office, symbolizing his dedication to duty.
He emphasized that priority will be given to the development of tribal, Dalit, and other backward communities in the district, with efforts to bring them into the mainstream of society. He also assured that special initiatives would be undertaken for the welfare of women belonging to backward sections.
The oath-taking ceremony was attended by Malkangiri MLA Narsingh Madkami, ITDA Project Administrator Haldhar Shabar, along with departmental officials and several BJP leaders including Ratan Banik, Sanjay Sarkar, Nimai Pal, Manik Chakraborty, Nabaghan Lokei, Nihar Ray, and other senior members.
Following the ceremony, a grand procession was held across the town, where hundreds of BJP workers and local residents participated and extended a warm welcome to the newly appointed office bearers.
Speaking to the media, Chairman Sodi said that he would dedicate himself to public service with full commitment and fulfill the responsibilities entrusted to him by the state leadership. He pledged to work with double the pace to make up for the delays of the past two years.
Vice-Chairperson Sabitri Padiami also stated that priority would be given to tribal development, access to health cards, and inclusion of marginalized communities into the mainstream.
The enthusiastic participation of townspeople during the procession is being seen as a positive sign for the district’s future development.
