Nabarangpur, April 27: The initial phase of 2027—house listing and house numbering—has been successfully launched in Nabarangpur district in a systematic and organized manner.
The entire process is being carried out under the leadership and guidance of District Collector and Chief Census Officer, Dr. Maheshwar Swain. The district administration has made all necessary preparations to ensure timely and accurate execution of the work.
From April 16 to May 15, data on the number of houses numbered is being sent on an hourly basis to the Census Office in Bhubaneswar. The progress of the work is being regularly monitored, and necessary steps are being taken accordingly.
Senior nodal officers are conducting field visits to supervise the census work during the house numbering process. Charge Officers, Tahasildars, and Executive Officers are also present on the ground to ensure the quality and accuracy of the work.
As Census 2027 is one of the largest and most significant administrative exercises in the country, the district administration is making continuous efforts at all levels to ensure its successful implementation through proper coordination.
As of yesterday, a total of 22,729 houses have been enumerated. Altogether, 2,369 officials and staff have been engaged in the census work across the district.
