Awareness Campaign for Census 2027 Gains Momentum with Rath Launch

Nabarangpur, April  27: A “Cnsus Awareness Rath” was launched by the district administration on the premises of the District Collector’s office. The District Collector and Chief Census Officer, Maheshwar Swain, along with Additional District Collector (Revenue) and District Census Officer, Biswajit Chandra Karmal, flagged off the vehicle.
On this occasion, Additional District Collector (General) Tapan Kumar Khuntia, District Education Officer Chhatrapati Sahu, Information and Public Relations Officer Manoj Behera, Project Officer of the Emergency Department Himanshu Pattnaik, Deputy Collector Nikunja Satpathy, along with other officials, staff members, and media representatives were present.
The awareness campaign will continue across all charge areas of the district. As part of the first phase of Census 2027, enumerators will visit households from now until May 15 to prepare house listings and conduct housing enumeration.
Earlier, from April 1 to April 15, citizens had submitted their self-enumeration data through a designated app.
The Census Awareness Rath will travel across the district to encourage people to provide accurate and unbiased information during the census process.
