Schools to Remain Closed from April 27 to June 17 as Authorities Take Precautionary Measures Against Heatwave

Nabarangpur: April. 29:  In view of the intense heatwave conditions, school holidays have been घोषित across Odisha from April 27 to June 17.
The announcement was made by School and Mass Education Minister Nityananda Gond. He informed that all educational institutions—from Anganwadi centres to higher secondary (+2) level, including both government and private schools and colleges—will remain closed during this period.
The minister also warned that strict action will be taken against any institution found violating the order by remaining open.
During this period, teachers engaged in government duties such as census work have been advised to take necessary precautions to ensure their safety while performing their responsibilities.
