Nabarangpur:May 04: Renowned cardiologist Dr. P. C. Rath will be conferred with the prestigious honorary Doctor of Science (D.Sc.) degree by Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences.
The honor has been approved by the Governor of Andhra Pradesh, who is also the Chancellor of the university. Dr. Rath will be formally felicitated at the university’s 29th and 30th annual convocation ceremony, scheduled to be held on June 2 in Vijayawada.
Dr. Rath is a distinguished figure in the field of cardiology. He has served as President of the Interventional Council of the Indian College of Cardiology and also held leadership roles in international cardiology bodies, including associations linked to the American College of Cardiology.
He is a recognized fellow of several prestigious medical science institutions across the United States, Europe, and the United Kingdom. Additionally, he has served as a visiting professor at the University of Rouen and the University of Queensland.
Currently, Dr. Rath is working as Director and Head of the Cardiology Department at Apollo Hospitals Jubilee Hills and Apollo Hospitals Bhubaneswar.
This recognition highlights his outstanding contribution to the field of cardiology and medical science at both national and international levels.
