Malkangiri, May 08:Yamini Sadanangi, Secretary of the Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water Department as well as the Rural Development Department and Commissioner of State GST, visited Malkangiri district and reviewed various developmental works.
During her visit, she inspected the quality of ongoing road and building construction projects in remote areas of the district and discussed several important administrative aspects.
She also visited the under-construction rural road projects from the PWD road to Paruguda and from the JM road to Kathiguda. Additionally, she inspected the JMFC court complex located at Mathili and reviewed various infrastructure development works in Khairput and Mathili blocks. She directed the engineers present to complete the works within the stipulated time frame.
After the field inspection, an important review meeting was held in the conference hall of the Zilla Parishad. The meeting was attended by District Collector Prathamesh Aravind Rajshekhar and Chief Development Officer Dasharath Sarabu, along with officials from various departments.
During the meeting, the Secretary stated that infrastructure development is the government’s top priority. She emphasized that issues related to stalled rural projects should be immediately resolved. She assured that the government would take prompt action to address such matters.
She also stressed financial transparency and instructed all government departments and implementing agencies to ensure timely deposit of TDS in GST offices. She further directed that all projects must be completed within the stipulated time while maintaining high quality standards.
During the field visit, SEs, EEs, AEs, and JEs of Sunabeda Rural Development Circle and Rural Development Divisions I and II of Malkangiri were present.
