Odisha to Launch 24-Hour Niramaya Medicine Centers: Minister Mahapatra’s Directive

21st November 2024: Odisha’s General Industries Minister, Krishna Chandra Mahapatra, has issued instructions for the establishment of 24-hour Niramaya medicine centers across the state. These centers will provide round-the-clock access to essential medicines, ensuring that residents can obtain medications at any time, particularly in emergency situations.

To ensure smooth operations, a special squad has been set up to monitor these centers and ensure they remain open as directed. Minister Mahapatra emphasized that strict actions will be taken if any center fails to operate or open on time.

The Niramaya medicine centers are part of the government’s broader initiative to improve healthcare access across Odisha, providing citizens with reliable, uninterrupted access to vital medicines.
