State to Launch Special Intensive Revision Process from July 1 for Updating and Verifying Electoral Records

Bhubaneswar, May 19:  The Election Commission has directed the launch of SIR in Odisha along with 16 states and 3 Union Territories.

The Election Commission of India has taken this major step to make the electoral process more transparent and accurate. The main objective of this drive is to remove the names of deceased, shifted, and duplicate voters from the electoral rolls, while also including eligible new voters.
