Malkangiri, May 28: The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), the world’s largest student organization working with the ideology of “Nation First” and the belief that “Student Power is National Power,” has prepared a comprehensive blueprint for a large-scale membership campaign for the academic year 2026–27.
This information was shared during a special press conference organized at the Circuit House in Malkangiri town. According to the resolutions adopted during the important regional review and planning meeting held in Koraput on April 25 and 26, the nationwide membership campaign will begin in June this year.
As part of this initiative, ABVP has set a target of enrolling 1 lakh new students from 14 organizational districts under the Western Odisha region. Out of this, a special strategy has been prepared to enroll 7,000 new members from Malkangiri district alone.
Established on July 9, 1949, the organization has been continuously working for the welfare of students and the all-round development of the nation. This year, ABVP has also completed full preparations to actively participate in student union elections.
To strengthen its organizational structure, ABVP has already formed active units in 331 colleges and 7 universities across Western Odisha. In the coming days, the organization plans to announce new town units in 118 locations, including every block headquarters in the region.
Particularly in Malkangiri district, ABVP plans to expand its presence by forming 3 town units and 13 campus units, as announced during the press meet held at the Circuit House.
During the press conference, State Secretary Shwetanshu Sekhar Barai, State Executive Member Ujjwal Ghosh, along with several prominent student leaders and senior organizational members, were present and shared details about the organization’s large-scale plans and strategies.
