Kotpad, May 30: There is good news for passengers इच्छुक in traveling to Puri. As people are aware, a proposal has been made to extend the newly introduced train running from Koraput to Puri up to Jagdalpur.
Today, the Kotpad Chamber of Commerce submitted a memorandum to Ashwini Vaishnaw through Kotpad Tahsildar Tinkal Sethi requesting the extension of the train service.
The memorandum highlighted that if the existing Koraput–Puri train is extended from Jagdalpur to Puri, passengers from Jagdalpur, Kotpad, Jeypore, and neighboring areas such as Borigumma, Nabarangpur, and Kosagumuda would greatly benefit. Devotees from these regions would get the opportunity to travel conveniently for the darshan of Lord Jagannath in Puri.
During the submission of the memorandum, the President of the Kotpad Chamber of Commerce, Ganesh Chandra Panda, Vice-President B. Shankar Rao, legal advisor Pankaj Patra, MP representative Pradeep Rath, along with all members of the Chamber of Commerce and media representatives, were present.
