Bhubaneswar, June 1: As the BJP government is set to complete two years in office on June 12, a grand celebration program will be organized to mark the occasion.
Prime Minister to Attend
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the event and address a public gathering. He is also expected to guide the state government toward achieving the vision of “Developed Odisha – Developed India.”
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi confirmed today that Prime Minister Modi will participate in the state government’s second anniversary celebrations.
While attending the ABVP’s “Citizen Felicitation Ceremony,” the Chief Minister said that he had met the Prime Minister in Delhi four days ago. He recalled that the Prime Minister had attended the first anniversary celebration of the Odisha government and had provided guidance to the administration. Similarly, he was invited to attend the second anniversary event as well.
According to the Chief Minister, the Prime Minister’s Office gave a positive response yesterday, and Prime Minister Modi is expected to visit Odisha very soon.
Review Meeting Held
Meanwhile, today the Chief Minister held discussions at Lok Seva Bhavan with secretaries of various departments regarding the second anniversary celebrations. During the meeting, discussions were held on the achievements and successes of different departments.
The Chief Minister also reviewed the challenges being faced in implementing various government schemes.
Two New Schemes Likely
It has also been indicated that Prime Minister Modi’s visit may coincide with the announcement of two major new schemes by the state government.
