Nandapur/June 3: In Koraput district, under Nandapur block’s Pachhalunga Panchayat, at the Hatguda Jagannath Temple, the construction work of a new chariot for the Rath Yatra has begun on Thursday.
A team of artisans deputed by the Koraput Shabar Shrikhetra Management Committee, led by craftsman Maheshwar Kumar, along with priests and members of the temple management committee, began the chariot construction work after performing rituals and worship of the collected chariot wood.
From the committee side, Akash Khole, Lalit Tangulu, Basudev Banguru, Somnath Khul, Padalam Mata Ramdas Pangi, Kameshwar Han Narayan Kamudi and others were present during the inauguration and participated in the rituals and arrangements.
