Vocational and Technical Education Guidance Provided to Orphaned and Single-Parent Children at Jharsuguda Camp

Jharsuguda.June 3:  A counselling camp on vocational and technical education for orphaned children and children of single parents was held at the District Mineral Fund (DMF) meeting hall in Jharsuguda.

The programme was conducted under the chairmanship of Additional District Magistrate (General), Shri Brajabandhu Bhoi. During the event, District Skill Development Officer Smt. Sangita Meher advised the students to choose their studies according to their interests and aptitude and build a successful career in the future. She also provided information about various facilities and training opportunities being offered by the district administration and the Skill Development Department.

At the beginning, District Child Protection Officer Shri Sunanda Maharana welcomed all present and highlighted the objectives of the programme. Smt. Sanyukta Mohapatra, Chairperson of the Child Welfare Committee, Jharsuguda, encouraged the students to pursue regular education and vocational training with dedication.

Shri Sahil Sahu, trainer from the State Hotel Management Institute, Balangir, gave a detailed presentation through PowerPoint on higher education, career development, and various employment opportunities.

Similarly, trainers Shri Sourav Ranjan Pallei and Shri Debashish Sahu from the Government Industrial Training Institute (ITI), Jharsuguda, provided information about different trades, courses, and training facilities through presentations.

District Information and Public Relations Officer Smt. Ritakanta Baliyarsingh and Sneha from the District Skill Development Office also interacted with the students and provided counselling.
On this occasion, Additional District Magistrate Shri Bhoi urged the students to pursue education according to their interests and goals, study with self-confidence, build a bright career, and become responsible citizens.

Finally, Child Protection Officer Shri Chudamani Panda delivered the vote of thanks. A large number of students and guardians participated in the counselling camp. The programme was successfully organized by the District Child Protection Unit, Jharsuguda.
