Kotpad, Odisha, June 4: The Kotpad LAMPS inaugurated the block-level mandi for Rabi paddy procurement at Bobiya in Kotpad block, providing farmers with an opportunity to sell their produce at the government-declared Minimum Support Price (MSP).
The mandi was formally launched in the presence of Kotpad MLA Rupu Bhatra, who interacted with farmers and reviewed the arrangements made for the procurement process.
Speaking on the occasion, Bhatra said that the mandi would ensure that farmers receive a fair price for their paddy through a transparent and efficient procurement system. He reiterated the Odisha government’s commitment to protecting farmers’ interests and strengthening the paddy procurement mechanism across the state.
The MLA also held discussions with farmers and provided necessary guidance to officials and staff concerned to ensure the smooth functioning of the mandi and hassle-free procurement operations.
Emphasizing the importance of the farming community, Bhatra said that the welfare and progress of farmers remain a top priority. He extended his best wishes and congratulations to all farmers participating in the Rabi paddy procurement process and expressed hope that the initiative would further strengthen agricultural livelihoods in the region.
