Malkangiri, June 8: World Environment Day was celebrated at the premises of the local Government Polytechnic Institute. The program was organized under the direct supervision of the institution’s Principal, Mr. Pritiranjan Priyadarshi Patra. Distinguished guests included Dr. Ranjan Swain, Lecturer in the Department of Commerce, and Mr. Damprudhar Honanok from Malkangiri.
On this occasion, all staff members, students, and guests took a pledge under the “A Tree for Mother” initiative and planted trees within the campus premises. The guests also delivered motivational messages to the students about the importance of environmental protection and the need for today’s younger generation to become more aware and responsible towards safeguarding the environment.
All teachers, staff members, and students of the institution actively participated in the campaign and pledged to work towards environmental conservation.
