Nabarangpur Comes Alive with Colours of Tradition as Let’s Walk Together Hosts Grand Raja Mahotsav Celebration

Nabarangpur, June 12: A Raja Mahotsav and felicitation ceremony was organized at the premises of the local Vidyarthi Bigyan College by the organization “Let’s Walk Together.”
The event was attended by District Social Welfare Officer Sudhanshu Patra, Odisha Sangeet Natak Akademi member Devdas Mahankud, and Vidyarthi Bigyan College Principal Satapathy as distinguished guests. The program was conducted under the supervision of members Ramprasad Patra, Nirupama Tripathy, Udit Bhanu Bisoyi, Tripati Balaji Sahu, Banita Nayak, Swarnalata Pattnaik, Manoj Pattnaik, Kishori Pattnaik, Meenakshi Padhi, Sunita Sahukar, Bandita Mallik, and Babita Sahu.

Satyanarayan Nayak, renowned All India Radio vocalist Suresh Chandra Mohapatra, and Councillor Sharmishtha Deo also participated in the event. Various competitions were organized on the occasion, following which talented individuals who had achieved excellence in different fields were felicitated.

Sukanta Satpathy was honored for contributions to social service and education; Dr. Manmohan Bisoyi for outstanding healthcare service; Suresh Naidu for journalism and social service; Janaki Panigrahi for yoga education; Ambika Pradhan for the anti-liquor movement; Narendra Garada for social service; Ishwar Sabat and Swarnalata Pattnaik for healthcare service and environmental protection; and Uma Satnami for preventing child marriage.

All India Radio vocalist Suresh Chandra Mohapatra was specially honored for his lifelong dedication to music and literature. Tapan Kumar Bisoyi was recognized for environmental conservation, Suman Gupta for success in the Odisha Administrative Service examination this year, Roshani Bisoyi as the district’s first architect, and flutist A. Santosh received special honors.
At the end of the program, winners of various competitions were awarded prizes. Dr. Bijay Kumar Mishra, Bijay Choudhury, Dinadayal Jain, Satyanarayan Nayak, Jharana Pattnaik, Bani Acharya, Renuka Acharya, Kaushalya Pradhani, Jemamani Bisoyi, P. Ravikant Raghuram, Mamata Pattnaik, Kajal Kinnar, and Chumuki Kinnar extended their cooperation in organizing the event.
