Nabarangpur, June 13: A District-Level Coordination Committee meeting related to the third phase of the 11th Agricultural Census was held today at the local Ashok Mehta Conference Hall under the chairmanship of Additional District Magistrate (Revenue) Biswajit Chandra Barman.
After approval, the collected data will be forwarded to the Central Government to help formulate effective agricultural development policies and plans. To obtain reliable and comprehensive agricultural information in Nabarangpur district, the third-phase Agricultural Census survey was conducted during the base year 2022–23 in 67 identified sample villages. The survey covered various aspects including:
Number of farmers
Size of landholdings
Fertilizer usage
Pesticide application
Crop insurance
Soil health
Agricultural mechanization
Seeds
Irrigation facilities
Farmers’ income
Classification of marginal, small, and medium farmers
Livestock farming
Fisheries
Horticulture
Agricultural loans
The survey was completed on 14 October 2025.
