Public Participation Essential for Electoral Roll Accuracy, Says Minister Nityananda Gond While Urging Support for SIR Drive

Bhubaneswar, June 16: School and Mass Education Minister Nityananda Gond has appealed to all citizens to participate in and cooperate with the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process.
In a post on the social media platform X, the minister stated that he had completed the SIR (Special Intensive Revision) form today. He mentioned that the Booth Level Officer (BLO) visited his residence, provided the form, and assisted in the process. During the visit, he completed all the required formalities and extended full cooperation to the officials in carrying out their duties.
The minister urged everyone to fulfill their civic responsibility by actively cooperating with this exercise.

Through the Special Intensive Revision process, individuals who will attain the age of 18 years by July 1, 2026, can apply for a new Voter ID card. Additionally, if there are any errors in a person’s name, age, address, or family details in the electoral records, they can get them corrected by filling out the Enumeration Form when the BLO visits their residence.
