Asurali, June 16: A grand welcome and felicitation ceremony was organized on Wednesday at Phalpur Government Upgraded High School under Dhamnagar Block.
At this prestigious educational institution, established in 1914, Sangeeta Priya Das formally assumed charge as the new Headmistress. On the occasion, two newly appointed teachers—TGT Teacher Padmalochan Sahu and Sanskrit Teacher Suprabha Sahu—were also warmly welcomed by the school family.
During the joining ceremony, the School Management Committee President Prabhat Mohanty, former In-Charge Headmaster Abhishek Mohapatra, and senior teachers including Ananta Mishra, Abani Raut, Manoranjan Das, Jayasmita Nayak, Sunita Mishra, and Minati Mohapatra were present. They welcomed the newly appointed educators by presenting them with bouquets and ceremonial scarves.
Former students of the school also attended the event and expressed their enthusiasm and support.
In her address, Headmistress Sangeeta Priya Das stated that she would make every effort to improve the quality of education, maintain student discipline, and ensure the overall development of the institution. She also sought the cooperation and support of all stakeholders in achieving these goals.
The new appointments have brought a wave of happiness among local residents and parents, who expressed optimism about the future progress of the school.
