OTU India Secures Strategic Investment from Tally Solutions to Accelerate Workforce Management for MSMEs

New Delhi,  June 18: OTU India, owned by Kaamlo Platform Pvt Ltd, today announced it has secured a strategic investment from Tally Solutions. The capital infusion will be utilized to accelerate product development, customer acquisition, and geographic expansion, strengthening OTU India’s position in the country’s rapidly growing HR and workforce management software market.

The investment underscores a shared vision between both companies to simplify workforce operations for India’s Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) through integrated, scalable digital solutions.

Over the next 12–24 months, OTU India will deploy the majority of the funding toward enhancing its flagship workforce management platform, OTUHRPLUS, while aggressively scaling its marketing and customer acquisition efforts. As it enters this next phase of growth, the company expects to achieve operational break-even within the current financial year—marking the platform’s second year in the market. OTU India is also actively evaluating a follow-on Series A fundraising round to fuel further expansion across domestic and international markets.

“Tally’s strategic investment will be focused almost entirely on our flagship product, OTUHRPLUS, specifically targeting product development and marketing-led customer acquisition over the next 12 to 24 months,” said Pratik Maheshwari, Co-founder of OTU India. “Overtime and shift management remain major unaddressed pain points within the MSME ecosystem today. By providing robust, dedicated support without a commensurate increase in price, we aim to address these underserved needs at scale through our channel partner network.”

Addressing the Needs of the Unorganized Workforce

OTUHRPLUS digitizes the entire employee lifecycle, streamlining recruitment, onboarding, attendance, payroll processing, shift management, and workforce operations. The platform is purpose-built to handle the unique compliance and operational requirements of India’s unorganized workforce, particularly within labor-intensive sectors such as manufacturing and construction.

Deepening the Tally Ecosystem Integration

A core pillar of the collaboration is the seamless integration between OTUHRPLUS and Tally’s business management software. This integration enables businesses to auto-sync employee-wise salary and payroll data directly into Tally at the click of a button, successfully eliminating data management friction and mismatches between HR and finance departments.

Customer response to the integration has been remarkably strong, reflecting long-standing demand among Tally users for an integrated workforce management solution. Notably, more than 100 Tally customers had already adopted OTUHRPLUS prior to the formal launch of the integrated product. In the coming months, OTU India plans to deepen this integration further by enabling automated financial workflows for employee reimbursements, expenses, and related transactions.

An Ambitious Roadmap for Growth and AI Innovation

Alongside product enhancements, OTU India is pursuing an aggressive expansion strategy. The company aims to establish an on-ground presence in at least 20 states across India during the current financial year, with plans to expand globally next year into international markets where Tally already maintains an active presence.

Looking further ahead, OTU India aims to evolve beyond traditional HRMS capabilities by embedding auxiliary employee services directly into its framework via ecosystem partnerships.
