Rairangpur, June 18: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit the native village of President Droupadi Murmu, Pahadpur in Rairangpur, during his upcoming Odisha tour on June 19–20, marking a significant high-profile engagement in Mayurbhanj district.
According to the detailed itinerary, the Prime Minister will arrive in Rairangpur on June 20 after attending official programmes, including participation in state government events. He is expected to land at the Pahadpur helipad around 11:05 AM, where he will meet President Droupadi Murmu.
Following the arrival, both leaders are scheduled to visit the Gosani shrine in the village and later offer prayers at local sacred sites associated with the Ho and Santhal communities. The visit is expected to highlight the cultural and tribal heritage of the region.
As part of the programme, the Prime Minister and the President will also visit the memorial at the SLS residential school campus in Pahadpur, where floral tributes will be paid. They are further expected to interact with students and visit educational and skill development centres in the area.
Earlier in the day, President Droupadi Murmu is scheduled to arrive in Odisha via Bhubaneswar and travel through multiple helipads and airstrips before reaching Rairangpur and Pahadpur as part of her visit programme.
After the joint engagements in Pahadpur, both dignitaries are scheduled to attend a state government function in Rairangpur, where developmental projects will be inaugurated and foundation stones laid. A public address is also planned during the event.
Following the programme, the Prime Minister is expected to depart for Delhi, while President Murmu will continue her engagements in the region before returning later in the day.
Officials said security arrangements and coordination preparations are underway to ensure smooth conduct of the high-level visit.
