Malkangiri , June 20 (UDN): Under the initiative of the Malkangiri District Administration, a Special Intensive Revision–2026 (SIR) and SVEEP (Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation) voter awareness programme was organized in the Padia Block.
As part of this campaign, members of the Koya tribal community were educated and made aware of the procedures for enrolling their names in the electoral roll, updating voter details, and making necessary corrections in the voter list. The programme aimed to ensure greater participation of tribal citizens in the democratic process and to encourage eligible voters to exercise their electoral rights.
The event was attended by the Sub-Collector and SVEEP Nodal Officer, the Padia Block Development Officer (BDO), the Assistant Collector, Booth Level Officers (BLOs), and several other government officials, who actively participated in spreading awareness and guiding the community regarding voter registration and electoral roll revision procedures.
