According to tradition, the deities remain in seclusion at the Anasara Ghara for a fortnight after the ceremonial bathing ritual, during which they are believed to recuperate and are not available for public darshan. During this period, devotees visit the Alarnath Temple, where Lord Alarnath is worshipped as the divine manifestation of Lord Jagannath.

The temple witnessed a significant influx of pilgrims from across Odisha and other parts of the country, with devotees offering prayers and seeking blessings during the auspicious occasion. Temple authorities and local administration made necessary arrangements to ensure smooth crowd management, security, and the convenience of visitors.

The Anasara period is one of the most spiritually significant phases in the annual rituals associated with Lord Jagannath. It culminates with the Nabajouban Darshan, when the deities reappear before devotees, followed by the world-famous Rath Yatra.

The annual pilgrimage to the Alarnath Temple during Anasara reflects the deep-rooted faith and devotion of millions of Jagannath devotees, preserving a centuries-old tradition that continues to draw pilgrims in large numbers.
