The intense spell of rain disrupted normal life in several parts of the capital region, leading to waterlogging in multiple low-lying areas of Bhubaneswar. Commuters faced difficulties as visibility dropped and road conditions worsened due to continuous downpour.

According to reports, the weather system brought strong thunderstorms and lightning activity along with gusty winds, raising concerns over safety in vulnerable locations and prompting authorities to advise caution.

The IMD has urged residents in the affected districts to remain alert and avoid unnecessary outdoor movement during adverse weather conditions. The warning is expected to remain in effect depending on the movement and intensity of the weather system.

Local authorities are monitoring the situation, and emergency response teams have been kept on standby in case of further deterioration in weather conditions. Further updates are awaited from the weather department.
