Rain Alert: Low Pressure Likely Over Bay of Bengal by July 3

Bhubaneswar, July 1 (UDN): The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has indicated the likely formation of a low-pressure area over the Bay of Bengal by July 3, which may bring enhanced rainfall activity across Odisha in the coming days.

The state has already been witnessing continuous rainfall over the past few days, and weather conditions are expected to intensify further once the system develops.

According to meteorological inputs, the emerging system could lead to heavy rainfall in several parts of Odisha, along with cloudy skies and intermittent showers across multiple districts.

Authorities have advised residents in vulnerable and low-lying areas to remain cautious, as sustained rainfall may lead to localized waterlogging and disruption in normal activities. Farmers and outdoor workers have also been urged to monitor weather updates closely and plan activities accordingly.

The IMD is expected to provide updated forecasts as the system evolves over the Bay of Bengal in the coming days.
