Kandhamal, July 2 (UDN): The Kandhamal district administration has ordered the suspension of all classes up to Class 12 in schools across the district due to continuous heavy rainfall.
The decision has been taken under Section 30(2)(v) of the Disaster Management Act, 2005, in view of the prevailing adverse weather conditions. As per the order, the suspension will be effective for July 2 and July 3.
However, the district administration has clarified that scheduled examinations and essential academic activities will continue as planned without any changes.
The District Education Officer has been directed to ensure strict implementation of the order in all schools across the district. Students and parents have been advised to follow official updates from school authorities.
The precautionary measure has been taken to ensure the safety and well-being of students amid persistent rainfall in the region.
