Delhi,July 3 {UDN}: During this high-level discussion, Minister Mukesh Mahaling presented and officially submitted a proposal seeking the establishment of an All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA) in the state of Odisha. The proposal emphasizes the need to expand advanced Ayurvedic education, research, and healthcare services within the state, so that patients, students, and researchers from Odisha and nearby regions can benefit from a nationally recognized institute without having to travel to other parts of the country.
The meeting also highlighted Odisha’s growing focus on traditional medicine systems such as Ayurveda under the AYUSH framework, along with the state government’s intention to strengthen holistic healthcare infrastructure. The proposed AIIA would not only enhance medical facilities but also promote research, training, and employment opportunities in the field of Ayurveda, contributing to the overall development of the AYUSH sector in Odisha.
