Kandhamal, July 4 (UDN): A tragic hit-and-run incident in Odisha’s Kandhamal district has claimed the lives of three youths after an unidentified vehicle struck the motorcycle they were travelling on near Mahasingh Bridge under Baliguda police limits.
The accident occurred when the motorcycle was reportedly hit by a speeding, unknown vehicle, causing fatal injuries to all three riders. Local residents and emergency responders rushed to the scene shortly after the incident, but the victims could not be saved.
The identities of the deceased are yet to be established, and authorities are making efforts to identify them and inform their families. Police have begun a detailed investigation to trace the vehicle involved and reconstruct the sequence of events leading to the crash.
Law enforcement teams are scanning nearby roads and checkpoints and reviewing available CCTV footage from surrounding areas in an attempt to identify the offending vehicle. A case has been registered, and further legal proceedings will follow based on investigation findings.
