8th Pay Commission Seeks Stakeholder Feedback in Odisha

Bhubaneswar, July 7: The 8th Central Pay Commission (CPC) has stepped up its nationwide consultation process by engaging with stakeholders in Odisha as part of its efforts to finalise recommendations on the revision of salaries and pensions for Central government employees and pensioners.

Led by former Supreme Court Justice Ranjana Prakash Desai, the commission visited Bhubaneswar on July 6 and 7 to gather feedback from state government representatives, employee associations, pensioners, and other stakeholders. The consultations are aimed at understanding regional concerns and incorporating practical inputs into the commission’s final report.

Now in its eighth month of deliberations, the commission has intensified state-level outreach through a series of regional visits to ensure that its recommendations reflect the evolving needs of employees and pensioners across the country.

The feedback collected during these consultations will help shape the commission’s proposals on pay structure, allowances, pensions, and other service-related benefits before the final recommendations are submitted to the Central government.
