Mortal Remains of Odisha Migrant Worker Brought Back from UAE to Native Village

Nayagarh, July 7 (UDN): The mortal remains of an Odia migrant worker who died in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) were brought back to his native village in Nayagarh district, allowing his family and community members to pay their final respects.

The deceased, identified as Santosh Kumar Pradhan of Gopalpur village under Ranpur block, had travelled to the UAE for employment as a construction worker. According to sources, he passed away after falling ill while working abroad.

Following coordination between authorities and concerned agencies, the repatriation process was completed and the body was transported back to his village.

Family members, relatives, and villagers gathered to offer their final tributes and mourn the loss. Local residents have urged authorities to extend necessary support and assistance to the bereaved family during this difficult time.

Officials involved in the process said efforts were made to ensure the safe return of the mortal remains and provide necessary assistance to the family.
