As Part of Their Community Outreach Initiative, Nursing Students Visited Various Areas of Rasulpur to Spread Awareness About Preventive Healthcare and the Importance of Regular Medical Check-Ups.

Rasulpur, July 8 {UDN}:  In Bhotana Panchayat of Rasulpur Block, a health awareness camp has been started by students of Sai Nursing College. A blood donation and awareness camp will continue for one month. Under the leadership of college principal Chandrashekhar Nayak, more than 60 students reached the Maa Hingula temple at Bainch Padia in the panchayat and began the camp after offering prayers.
The camp was inaugurated by Sarpanch Smritirekha Rout as the chief guest. It was stated that if trainee students work with a spirit of service, healthcare services can reach the common people more effectively. College administrator Padmalochan Nayak explained the objective of the camp.
The students conducted awareness activities by visiting villages. A health awareness vehicle also moved across different villages, spreading awareness among people and distributing pamphlets related to prevention of various diseases. The students went door to door and checked blood pressure and blood sugar levels of elderly people, while also explaining diseases and their prevention.
They also advised the public about the increased risk of diseases like diarrhea, malaria, and dengue during the rainy season, and stressed the importance of cleanliness, hygiene, sanitation, and preventive food habits.
The students collected data from each village and later analyzed it in the evening. During the camp period, they will continue working on cleanliness, sanitation, and environmental protection in various villages, as informed by the camp’s chief program officer Priyadarshini Dash.
