Government Accelerates Education Infrastructure Development Under the Godabarish Mishra Model Primary School Initiative

Bhubaneswar,  July 11 [UDN}:  The Chief Minister has set a deadline to complete the construction of 2,200 schools under the first phase of the Godabarish Mishra Model Primary School Project by March 2027.

Expressing dissatisfaction over delays in the process of identifying land for the construction of these schools, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi raised concerns during a review meeting. He stated that while coastal districts may face some challenges in acquiring land, there should be no such difficulties in the other districts of the state.

The Chief Minister further mentioned that the construction of mega campuses would require around five acres of land, and special emphasis would be placed on securing five-acre plots for Green Field projects within panchayat areas.

For schools that have less than five acres of land available, he clarified that adjoining government or private land may be purchased and utilized for the expansion and development of the school infrastructure.
