Bhubaneswar, July 11 [UDN}: The government has taken a major step to simplify the land registration process. Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari shared this information.
Land purchase and sale transactions in the state will now become completely cashless. Not even a single rupee will be allowed to be exchanged in cash. Earlier, cash transactions of up to ₹15,000 were permitted.
This decision has been taken to make land registration offices free from middlemen and brokers. Citizens will no longer have to visit the registration office repeatedly for the same work. After registration, the documents will also be made available online for easy access.
The Revenue Department is expected to issue a detailed Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) regarding the new system very soon.
