Bhubaneswar, July 14 (UDN): A biker was killed after a speeding Mercedes allegedly rammed into his motorcycle near the Shastri Nagar traffic post in Bhubaneswar late Monday night.
The accident occurred at around 11 pm when the luxury car reportedly hit the two-wheeler at the traffic signal area. The victim, identified as Debi Prasad Rautray of Nuasahi, sustained critical injuries in the collision.
Following the accident, police and local residents rushed the injured rider to Capital Hospital. However, doctors declared him dead upon arrival.
Police have initiated an investigation into the incident to determine the exact cause of the crash and verify the circumstances surrounding the collision. Further details are awaited.
