Bhubaneswar, July 18 (UDN): A gas cylinder explosion in the Patrapada area of Bhubaneswar triggered panic among residents on Friday night after a house was severely damaged in the blast.
According to reports, the explosion was powerful enough to blow off the roof of the house and scatter household belongings across the premises. The incident caused significant damage to the property, leaving residents and neighbours in shock.
Fortunately, the people present inside the house at the time of the explosion had a narrow escape and no major injuries were reported.
Following the incident, local residents gathered at the spot, while authorities were informed. Officials are assessing the extent of the damage and investigating the possible cause of the cylinder blast.
The incident has once again highlighted the importance of following safety precautions while handling LPG cylinders and ensuring regular checks of gas connections and appliances.
