Tentulikhunti, July 20 [UDN}: The poets’ meet, organized under the aegis of the Tentulikhunti Panchayat Samiti, brought together several renowned poets and literary personalities. Block Development Officer (BDO) Manoj Kumar Panigrahi presided over the event.
District Development Officer and noted poet Biranchi Narayan Darwan attended as the chief guest and recited his self-composed poems, including Swarabarna, Pathara Darpana, Yogini, and Samantara Prema Swara.
Prominent participants included senior poet and writer Dr. Januvi Panda, Dr. Sushobhita Marilyn Turuk, Governor’s Award recipient Prabhasini Mahanti, Binaya Kumar Suna, Gagan Kumar Garada, Swarnalata Mahankud, along with several other poets, writers, and storytellers who presented selections from their literary works.
Senior litterateur and President of the Sri Aurobindo Integral Education Centre, Er. Santosh Kumar Gahan, attended as the keynote speaker and recited his own poetry. Ratan Majhi, Vice-President of the State Tribal Forum, also performed his self-written poems.
Writer and journalist Prabhanjan Tripathy presented a poem highlighting the Indravati River and its present condition. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by social worker and litterateur Ramesh Chandra Patnaik.
The event celebrated the richness of Odia literature while providing a vibrant platform for poets and writers to share their creative works and promote literary culture.
