Semiliguda, July 20 [UDN}: The Lions Club of Semiliguda celebrated Van Mahotsav at the School for the Deaf and Mute in Sunabeda by organizing a tree plantation programme.
The event was attended by Lions Club District PRO P. M. Bajpai and Koraput District Cabinet Member Ram Sharma, along with his spouse. The programme was conducted under the supervision of Semiliguda Lions Club President Manoj Kumar Patra.
Senior members including Sukanta Samal, Premananda Patra, Nilamadhab Purohit, Dr. Rajendra Patra, K. Mohan Rao, Manoranjan Behera, Jyotiranjan Mohanty, Sanat Sahu, Pradeep Kumar Rout, and Amit Agrawal participated in the plantation drive by planting various species of saplings.
Teachers and students of the school actively supported and assisted in the successful conduct of the programme.
The initiative highlighted the Lions Club’s commitment to environmental conservation and encouraged greater awareness about the importance of tree plantation among students and the local community.
