Nabarangpur,July 20 [UDN}:: A farewell ceremony was organized on Saturday by the Sakhi One Stop Centre and Jagruti, Dabugam at the District Headquarters Hospital premises to honor District Social Welfare Officer Draupadi Kahar and District Social Security Officer Sudhanshu Patra. On the occasion, Meera Nayak was formally welcomed as the new District Social Security Officer of Nabarangpur.
Additional District Medical Officer Sujanta Satpathy attended the event as the chief guest. Kishori Pattnaik of the Sakhi Centre conducted the proceedings, while ISRD Director Sudhir Sabat coordinated the programme. Centre Manager Ranjita Sahu read out the citation of appreciation.
Mental health counsellor Smaranika Pattnaik and case workers Jahin Singh and Pini Khosla felicitated the outgoing and incoming officials with flowers and ceremonial shawls.
Among those present were police officer Shima Lakra, who works for the protection of women and girls, Child Welfare Committee Chairperson Annapurna Patra, members Anupama Gantayat and Siddhartha Shankar Behera, Narishakti President Purnalata Pattnaik, legal advisor Ramprasad Patra, District Child Protection Officer Suresh Pattnaik, along with staff members of the Child Welfare Committee, Child Helpline, and other officials.
Extra line: The programme recognized the dedicated service of the outgoing officers while extending a warm welcome to the newly appointed District Social Security Officer.
