Bhubaneswar, July 22 UDN}: The state government’s announcement to provide additional bonuses and incentive amounts to kendu leaf pluckers, binders, and seasonal staff in Odisha is a welcome step. I express my heartfelt gratitude to Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Hon’ble Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi for this decision. This initiative will particularly benefit the brothers and sisters associated with the kendu leaf trade and provide them with greater financial support.
Whether it is the reduction of the TCS rate for kendu leaf traders or the provision of other forms of assistance, these measures reflect the commitment of the double-engine government towards the welfare of the poor and underprivileged. I firmly believe that such efforts based on the principles of service and Antyodaya will contribute significantly to the development of Odisha and help transform the state into a developed and prosperous state.
