Passengers Escape Safely After OSRTC Bus Develops Smoke Issue in Ganjam

Ganjam, July 23 (UDN): Passengers of an OSRTC bus operating under the Mukhyamantri Bus Seva (MBS) had a narrow escape after thick smoke was noticed coming from the vehicle during its journey near Udura village under Belaguntha police limits in Odisha’s Ganjam district.

The incident occurred on Thursday when passengers noticed smoke emerging from the bus, prompting the driver to immediately stop the vehicle on the roadside as a precautionary measure.

Acting quickly, the driver ensured that all passengers were evacuated safely, preventing any major incident. No casualties or injuries were reported in the incident.

The prompt response by the driver helped avoid a potentially dangerous situation and ensured the safety of passengers travelling on the government-run bus service.

Authorities are expected to examine the vehicle to determine the cause of the smoke emission and ensure necessary safety checks are carried out.
